The Gummies, Described Plainly

What is in the jar, what it tastes like, where it is made, who it suits and who should leave it on the shelf.

The Short Description

Gelagen is a dietary supplement in chewable form. Sixty berry gummies to a jar, set with fruit pectin, thirteen nutrients declared on the panel and eight of them carrying a printed amount. A serving is two gummies, a jar is thirty servings, and that is why our packs are counted in months.

It contains no collagen. The name invites the question often enough that it belongs here rather than in a FAQ. Collagen swallowed as a supplement is broken into amino acids in the gut, exactly like any other protein, and never arrives at skin as collagen. Your body makes its own using enzymes that stall without ascorbate, so we supply vitamin C and let that machinery do what it was always going to do.

The Printed Amounts

These are the figures on our panel. The jar in your hand is the authority; if a number here ever disagrees with the jar, believe the jar.

The five remaining declared nutrients, the pectin base, the colour and the flavour are printed in full on the jar. The base has a page of its own, because a carrier containing sugars deserves an explanation rather than silence.

Taste, Texture, Storage

Mixed berry, nearer a blackcurrant pastille than a jelly sweet, with the faint metallic edge that any B-complex carries. It is sweet, because pectin will not gel without sugars and because a chewable carrying a full B-complex has to taste of something other than the B-complex.

Keep the jar closed, cool, dry and away from direct light. A kitchen cupboard is ideal; a sunny windowsill in August is how gummies fuse into a single lump. That does not make them unsafe, only irritating. Keep them out of reach of children, who cannot distinguish a supplement from a sweet.

02 / Suitability

Who It Suits, And Who It Does Not

Both halves of that answer are worth publishing, and only one of them sells anything.

People whose mornings are chaotic

If your last routine died because it needed a shaker and four minutes, this asks for the time it takes to chew two sweets.

People who read the back of the jar

Every declared amount is printed, so you can add this to whatever else you take and reach a real total.

People avoiding gelatine

Pectin from apple and citrus peel. Nothing in the base is animal-derived, and the bite is softer for it.

People prepared to wait a season

Skin renews across four to six weeks. If you need a visible change by Friday, no supplement on any shelf will provide one.

Not for anyone pregnant or nursing

630 mcg of vitamin A per serving makes this a conversation for a doctor rather than a product page. The same applies while trying to conceive.

Not a substitute for treatment

If a clinician is treating your acne, eczema, psoriasis or hair loss, keep doing what they said. This sits beside care, never instead of it.

Why We Chose A Chewable

A capsule delivers these nutrients perfectly well and costs less to manufacture. We went with a gummy anyway, for a single reason: the gap between a supplement that works on paper and one that works in a life is almost entirely a question of whether it gets taken every morning for months.

The costs of that choice are real and we would rather list them than let you discover them. A gummy needs sugars to set. It cannot carry the very large doses a capsule can. It softens in heat. It costs more per serving to make. What it buys back is a jar that gets finished, and on a product whose effect depends entirely on consistency, that is a trade worth making.

Where It Is Made

In the United States, in a facility registered with the Food and Drug Administration and working to Good Manufacturing Practice standards. Registration means the plant is known to the regulator and open to inspection.

It does not mean the product is approved. No supplement sold in this country from any brand is approved, because supplements sit under food law rather than drug law. We say that plainly because the phrase "FDA registered" appears on a great many labels in a typeface chosen to imply something else.

04 / Answers

About The Product Itself

How many jars should I start with?

One jar is one month, and one month cannot answer anything. Most people start with three so that the first honest assessment happens on product they already own rather than during a gap while they reorder.

Can I take one gummy instead of two?

You can, but every printed amount is calculated for two. Halving the serving halves the label, including the parts doing the work, which turns a known formula into an experiment.

What if I chew three by mistake?

One extra serving on one day is not a crisis. Return to two the next morning rather than skipping a day to compensate, and do not make a habit of it, because the vitamin A figure is why a ceiling exists at all.

Is there a sugar-free version?

Not at present. Pectin needs sugars to set into a chewable, and we have not found a sugar-free formulation we would be willing to sell. A capsule multivitamin is the more sensible product if that is the deciding factor.
