01 / The product

The product

What is Gelagen exactly?

A dietary supplement in chewable form. Sixty berry gummies to a jar, set with fruit pectin, thirteen nutrients declared and eight of them carrying a printed amount, across a two-gummy daily serving.

Does it contain collagen?

No. Collagen taken by mouth is digested into amino acids and never arrives at skin as collagen. Your body builds its own using enzymes that need vitamin C, which is why vitamin C is on the panel and collagen is not.

How many nutrients are declared?

Thirteen, of which eight carry printed amounts: biotin, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin B12, zinc, folate and vitamin A.

Why is the biotin figure so large?

Five thousand micrograms is the number this category converged on rather than one derived from a trial in healthy adults. Its safety record is unusually clean, and it is equally the reason the blood-test warning exists.

Why is the zinc figure so small?

Deliberately. Zinc competes with copper for absorption and months of high-dose zinc can quietly produce a copper shortfall. Keeping the daily figure small covers the enzymes and leaves the copper alone.

What does it taste like?

Mixed berry, nearer a blackcurrant pastille than a jelly sweet, with the faint metallic edge that any B-complex carries.

Is there sugar in it?

Yes. Pectin will not set into a chewable without sugars and the amount per serving is printed on the nutrition panel. Anyone watching their blood sugar should look that figure up first.

Is it vegetarian?

The base is fruit pectin rather than gelatine, so nothing in it is animal-derived. Strict vegans should read the colour and flavour list on the jar as well.

Where is it manufactured?

Domestically, at a plant carrying an FDA registration and working under Good Manufacturing Practice rules. Registration is not approval.

Is it gluten free?

The complete allergen and ingredient statement is printed on the jar and that statement is the authority. Read it before breaking the seal if you have any food allergy.

02 / Taking it

Taking it

How many gummies a day?

Two, once a day. That is one serving and every printed amount is calculated for the pair.

What time of day?

Morning, within half an hour of a meal. Four nutrients on the panel are fat soluble and absorb better with food nearby.

Can I take them in the evening?

Yes. Put them with dinner if evenings are the part of your day that actually happens. A reliable evening will always outperform a hit-and-miss morning.

Chew or swallow?

Chew. A chewable is designed to begin breaking down in the mouth and swallowing one whole wastes part of the point.

What if I miss a day?

Take two the next morning as normal. Never take four to make up for it, and the vitamin A figure is why.

Would more work faster?

No. The limiting factor is your skin's renewal cycle, which no dose accelerates, and exceeding the serving raises vitamin A intake for no benefit.

Can I take it with my multivitamin?

Total up the vitamin A across both labels, and the biotin as well, before you begin. Two sources of one nutrient is the commonest way people overshoot without noticing.

Does it interact with medication?

Put it to a pharmacist, since they have sight of everything you take at once. Flag the biotin in particular to anyone managing a thyroid prescription, since the dose is set from bloods that biotin can throw off.

Do I need to cycle off it?

No cycling is required for these nutrients. Mention it at your next check-up so it appears on your record.

Can I take it with coffee?

Yes. There is no interaction worth worrying about at the amounts on this panel.

03 / Results

Results

How long until something happens?

Nails usually first at around six to nine weeks, hair breakage next, skin last and most gradually. We ask for twelve weeks before you form a view.

Why twelve weeks when others say four?

Because four weeks is one cycle and the cells arriving at your surface then were only half-built with the new supply. Twelve weeks is three cycles.

What changes first?

Nails, almost always. A nail keeps a physical record of what was available while it was made, and it is not swayed by lighting or mood.

Will my hair grow faster?

Almost certainly not. How quickly hair lengthens is set at the follicle and barely moves. Nutrition influences how well a shaft is assembled and therefore how much of it breaks.

What if nothing happens?

That is a real outcome, and the likeliest explanation is that your diet already covered these nutrients so there was no gap to close. Use the sixty day window.

How do I judge it fairly?

Photograph yourself on day one in the same light, repeat at day forty-five and ninety, and watch the new nail growth near the cuticle rather than the old tip.

Do you publish before and after photographs?

No. How a face is lit, turned, made up and photographed changes the image far more than any capsule could, and a matched pair takes about ten minutes to fake.

Will it clear my acne?

Acne is a medical condition with medical treatments and this is not one of them. Book an appointment; there are treatments that genuinely work.

Will it stop hair loss?

No. Hair loss has causes — hormonal, autoimmune, thyroid, nutritional, medication related — and identifying yours needs a doctor rather than a gummy.

Does it work for men?

The biology is identical. This is an adult formula and none of it is aimed at one sex over another.

04 / Safety

Safety

Can I take it while pregnant?

Speak to your doctor first. Each serving carries 630 mcg of vitamin A and vitamin A intake is watched closely in pregnancy. Nursing and trying for a baby fall under the same instruction.

Will it affect a blood test?

Potentially, yes. 5000 mcg of biotin interferes with many laboratory immunoassays including thyroid and cardiac troponin. Tell the laboratory before blood is drawn.

Are there side effects?

Most people notice nothing beyond the taste. The occasional report is a slightly unsettled stomach or a light headache in the opening week, and moving the serving to sit alongside food generally sorts it out.

At what point should I stop and get checked?

Straight away, if a rash appears, if itching starts, if your face or throat swells, if breathing becomes hard, or if nausea or headaches turn up and stay.

Can teenagers take it?

The formula assumes an adult body and we would not hand it to anyone under eighteen.

Is 630 mcg of vitamin A a large amount?

Taken by itself the figure leaves plenty of room under the 3000 mcg adult limit. The margin disappears once a multivitamin or a prescribed retinoid joins it.

Can I take it with a retinoid?

Speak to your prescriber first, because our vitamin A adds to a total they have already calculated.

Does it interact with alcohol?

There is no direct interaction with this panel. Heavy drinking affects vitamin A handling in the liver and skin quality generally, which is a separate conversation.

Is it safe long term?

Every figure here falls inside published limits for taking something every day. Keep it on your medical record and recalculate if you add another supplement later.

What if a child eats several?

Contact your local poison control service for advice, and keep the jar out of reach: a berry gummy is indistinguishable from a sweet to a small child.

05 / Buying

Buying

What does it cost?

Two jars at $79 each, three at $69 each, six at $49 each, all one-time payments. The per-day figures are compared on the prices page.

Is there a subscription?

No. Every pack is a single payment for a fixed number of jars. Nothing renews and no card is stored.

Which pack should I start with?

Three for most people, because ninety days is when an honest answer becomes available. Two if you are unsure. Six only if you have already decided.

Is shipping free?

Free inside the United States on three and six jar packs. On the two jar pack it is calculated at checkout before you pay.

How long does delivery take?

Packing takes a working day or two and the journey usually runs five to seven working days across the continental US.

How do I track it?

A tracking number is emailed at dispatch and can take up to twenty-four hours to go live on the carrier's site.

What is the guarantee?

Sixty days from the date of payment, opened jars included. You cover the postage back; the money you paid for the product comes to you.

How do I claim a refund?

Contact the checkout that took your order for a return authorisation, pack everything including empties, write the authorisation number on the outside of the box, and send it tracked.

When do the guides arrive?

Within minutes of checkout by email on three and six jar orders, long before the parcel.

Is the packaging discreet?

Yes. Boxes are unmarked and nothing printed on them describes what is inside.

Not Answered Here?

Write to [email protected]. Questions about the formula, the routine, the panel or the window are answered by a person inside two working days, and the genuinely useful ones get added to this page.

Anything about an order already placed — where the parcel is, changing an address, starting a refund — is quicker through the checkout that took it, because that is where your order number and your payment live.
