Taking Them

Two gummies, once a day, near a meal. Everything below is detail layered on top of that one sentence.

01 / The routine

Six Small Decisions

The whole of it. Anything more elaborate would not survive a difficult week, and a routine that does not survive a difficult week is not a routine.

  1. Get the two gummies out of the bottle

Two is one serving and every printed amount on the panel is calculated for the pair. Halving it halves the label.

  2. Chew, do not swallow

A chewable is built to start breaking down in the mouth. Swallowing one whole throws away part of the reason it is a gummy at all.

  3. Have them within half an hour of a meal

Four nutrients on the panel are fat soluble. A little dietary fat close by is what carries them across the gut wall.

  4. Follow with a glass of water

It moves the water-soluble half along and keeps a sweetened chewable off your teeth.

  5. Attach it to something you already do

The kettle, the bathroom light, the first alarm. Habits form by association, and a bottle in a drawer gets opened once a week.

  6. Judge it at twelve weeks, not at three

Three renewal cycles is the first point at which the mirror can answer honestly. The sixty day window exists so waiting costs you nothing.

Morning Or Evening

Morning, for two reasons. Mornings repeat more reliably than evenings do, and a routine that survives a bad week is worth more than an optimal one that does not. Second, the B vitamins sit in energy metabolism and a minority of people find them mildly stimulating close to bedtime.

If your mornings are genuinely chaotic and your evenings are calm, take them with dinner instead. A dependable evening beats a scattered morning by a distance.

A Missed Day

Do not double up. Take two the following morning as normal. The vitamin A figure is why that instruction exists, and one missed day inside a twelve week course is statistically invisible.

If you have missed a whole week, simply restart. There is no loading phase to repeat and nothing to build back up to. What matters is the average across months rather than any particular morning.

Taking It With Other Things

Taking Gelagen alongside other supplements and medication
AlongsideWhat to do
A multivitaminAdd the vitamin A and biotin figures together before you start. Two sources of one nutrient is the commonest way people overshoot without noticing. Most people end up dropping one or the other.
Prescription medicationAsk your pharmacist rather than a website. They can see your full list; this page cannot.
A prescription retinoidSpeak to your prescriber first. Our vitamin A adds to a total they have already calculated for you.
Iron or calcium tabletsLeave a couple of hours between them where you can, since minerals compete for the same absorption routes.
Coffee or teaNo interaction worth worrying about at the amounts on this panel.
Nothing at all, on an empty stomachIt works, but you give up part of the fat-soluble half. A meal within the hour fixes it.

This Is Not A Reason To Stop Wearing Sunscreen

A supplement works from the inside and a topical works on the surface, so the two are not competing for the same job. Ultraviolet exposure does more visible damage to skin across a lifetime than any nutrient gap on our panel, and nothing swallowed offsets it.

If you want the realistic ranking: sleep, sun protection, not smoking, a varied diet, a simple topical routine you actually keep, and then a supplement putting a floor under the nutrition part. Anyone offering you a different order is selling something.

About The Daily Routine

Can I take them with breakfast rather than before?

Yes. Anywhere within half an hour either side of a meal is fine. The instruction exists to keep the fat-soluble nutrients near some dietary fat, not to be precise.

Should I cycle off every few months?

No cycling is needed for these nutrients. Mention it at your next check-up so it appears on your record alongside anything else you take.

Before or after brushing my teeth?

Before, or rinse with water afterwards. They contain sugars and they are chewy, which is the combination dentists object to.

Will they survive a hot car?

They will soften and stick together. Still safe, still annoying. Keep the jar at home in a cupboard rather than carrying it around in summer.
